About Us
Founded by Jo Stein and Dan Kimlering, alongside Pica the office dog, Blue Sky Coworking NM is a community-driven coworking space designed to support creatives, entrepreneurs, artists, and innovators while helping foster a more vibrant and connected Albuquerque.
Our Mission
At Blue Sky Coworking NM, our mission is to build a collaborative home for creatives—artists, entrepreneurs, and innovators—by providing inspiring workspace, meaningful community, and access to resources that help ideas grow into lasting impact.
We are committed to strengthening a more vibrant Albuquerque by supporting local talent, welcoming returning New Mexicans, and encouraging creative people to build their lives and work here rather than feel they need to leave to succeed.
Through partnerships like Harwood Art Center and its SURFACE: Emerging Artists of New Mexico program, we expand opportunities for emerging artists while bridging the worlds of art, entrepreneurship, and community development.
We are also proud to collaborate with Nob Hill Main Street in support of its efforts to establish Nob Hill as a designated arts and cultural district—helping amplify local creative businesses, strengthen neighborhood identity, and contribute to a more connected and culturally vibrant city.
Our Goals
1. Strengthen Albuquerque’s Creative Ecosystem
Build a thriving network where artists, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals can connect, collaborate, and grow—helping position Albuquerque as a city where creative careers are viable, supported, and valued.
2. Support and Elevate Emerging Artists
Expand access to space, funding pathways, and visibility for emerging artists through partnerships like Harwood Art Center and its SURFACE: Emerging Artists of New Mexico program, ensuring artists have real infrastructure to develop sustainable careers.
3. Activate Neighborhoods Through Arts and Culture
Partner with organizations like Nob Hill Main Street to help advance Nob Hill’s vision as an arts and cultural district, supporting local businesses, public programming, and placemaking that enhances neighborhood identity and vibrancy.
4. Retain and Attract Creative Talent to Albuquerque
Create a compelling environment where people choose to stay in, return to, or relocate to Albuquerque by offering community, opportunity, and meaningful workspaces that make long-term creative living here not just possible—but desirable.
